DigiStore contextualization
Digidop is much more than just a Webflow agency! Not only do we develop projects for our customers, but we also try to go beyond our limits to create ever more innovative products, services and platforms.
You've probably already seen it, but with this project we've launched the first 100% digicalidad online store!
What is the DigiStore?
Le Digistore is an e-commerce site created on Webflow by Digidop to showcase and sell products (T-shirts, Mugs, Stickers, etc.) on the theme of No-Code, Design and web development.
The purpose of the DigiStore
The aim was to use the wonderful tool that is Webflow to offer a totally customized online store (with almost no design limits) to showcase products that designers, developers, digital nomads and many others could wear or use every day. It also allows us to show just a small part of what's possible with a Webflow e-commerce plan.
Design phase for our Store and Merch on Figma
Once we'd defined what we wanted to do and thought about how to get there, we moved on to one of the concrete phases of the project: layout on Figma and product creation.
Merchandising creation
All the members of the Digiteam brainstormed to come up with ideas for products that might be interesting to offer on our Store through collections that will be released over the coming months.
Pierre was the project manager for this entire section and concocted some very nice products for us.
Development of the UX/UI model
During the same period, Pierre also came up with a specific universe for the DigiStore, based on the graphics and logo of Digidop , but differentiated to offer a unique e-commerce experience.
This e-commerce site has really been designed to get off the beaten track of "classic" Shopify online stores, with a unique design that really stands out from the crowd. Even if we haven't included all the possibilities/features that an e-commerce site could offer, the Digistore stands out for its originality and sense of design.
Development phase in Webflow
Integration of the Figma e-commerce model in Webflow
Webflow is a basic tool designed for web designers. This enabled us to reproduce the model almost identically, adapting it to the technical constraints of Webflow's e-commerce section.
Webflow is not a CMS designed directly for e-commerce, as Shopify might be. Its functionalities are still limited, but we can draw on our creativity and technical skills to offer an effective store.
Development is Client-First, using Finsweet attributes and some custom code to enhance the user experience.
Product integration in the store
Thanks to Webflow's intuitive CMS, we were able to define optional fields (in addition to the mandatory ones) to customize our category and product pages as closely as possible to the Figma layout. Incorporating new products via the CMS is quick and straightforward. We can customize each product variant, enabling anyone to have a product that suits them.
SEO Optimizations
We've designed the store with SEO in mind, using best practices to ensure online visibility. The product sheets are optimized and we've also added structured data to try and get better visibility on search engines.
Payment via Stripe
For payment of orders on the site, we have opted to connect to the Stripe tool. This tool enables us to receive payments made on the site and also generate invoices for customers. Stripe's Webflow integration is carried out directly in the tool once the e-commerce functionality has been added.
In conclusion, the DigiStore at Digidop represents our determination to push back the frontiers of creativity and innovation. Using Webflow as a blank canvas, we've created a unique online store, offering an exceptional shopping experience for enthusiasts of No-Code, Design and web development.
