A detailed look back at my experience as a guest at Finsweet Live's Community Day last week.

Key points to remember

Last week, I was the guest of the Community Day of Finsweet live!

With Joe Krug, we discussed:

  • The language barrier in the no-code world;
  • Growth & Content Strategy,
  • Learning curve on Webflow,
  • Community development.

A detailed (and behind-the-scenes) look at a life experience that I loved.

How is a stream organized with Finsweet Live?

It's a rolling business!

Behind the scenes, Victoria Perez and Gabriel do an incredible job of making the experience seamless. They are available and walk you through it with the right energy ๐Ÿ˜ƒ !

Step 1: Stream Questions

3 weeks before the live I received a Notion document with a plan and some questions to prepare the stream. Well, in my case, we didn't follow the plan at all but hey... this documentation is still a good preparation exercise ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Step 2: Technical preparation

At d-1 โ†’ 30 minutes call with Gabriel and Victoria. The objective of this call is to prepare "technically" the stream of the next day. During this call, I met Gabriel, the video editor of the Finsweet team. He tested my microphone, my camera, then explained me the technical process of the stream: screen sharing, visibility of the live comments, etc...

This step is important because it is reassuring. I was also able to take advantage of this moment to ask my questions.

If you are interested... For the recording of the stream, Finsweet Live uses the Ecamm tool . Great tool that allows you to have access to the live chat of Youtube.

Step 3 : The live

3,2,1....

How was my live ?

...Action!

I was looking forward to the experience. It was my first time doing it, and in English. But what an opportunity for Digidop to showcase our vision and ambitions.

30 minutes before the stream started, I joined a call with Victoria and Gab to test my setup again.(Read more about my Webflow developer setup in this article)

Then.... Action ๐ŸŽฌ Here we go for a one-hour live with Joe Krug, founder of the webflow agency Finsweet.

To frame the stream, Joe had the FigJam that I had shared with him with the plan and questions for the stream. But after the first question... nothing goes as planned!

We're completely out of the original plan (๐Ÿ˜…), to make room for a sincere and passionate exchange about :

  • The language barrier in learning Webflow and Client-First,
  • The story of Digidop,
  • Growth, content strategy and community development.

And some anecdotes about our respective experiences in our lives as webflow developers (and our first webflow sites)!

As an added bonus, we had an active audience ๐Ÿ’› who through their questions made the show come alive! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

My opinion on the experience

I loved the experience.

It is a very popular exercise that allows to freely exchange and share a lot of values/experiences with the no-code community on various topics:

  • Business,
  • Learning,
  • State of mind,
  • Code and no-code.

And it even gave me an idea ๐Ÿ’ก

How about Webflow, business and no-code in French?

From your posts, you seem to have enjoyed the format and the exchange I had with Joe! Thank you! ๐Ÿ’›Only, the language barrier is definitely there... The interview is in English.

But the experience gave me an idea! What if we made a podcast about Webflowin French, in the next few months, would that warm you up? ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท
