Discover a new way to learn Webflow in 2024 with free, live, interactive training at Digidop every week (educational content for the community)!
You've been looking forward to it, and now it's on its way. The"coming soon" has been transformed into a"rendez-vous le Jeudi 25 Avril à 18h sur la Chaîne YouTube de Digidop" for the start of the Webflow training course.
In this article, find out more about the how and why of this training course.
Why launch our Webflow Training now?
In 2022, we launched Digidop Academy, a learning platform independent of our blog posts or videos, to share training content free of charge and easily accessible. Thomas 's great Figma training continues to generate buzz and has been very well received by the community.
This first course encouraged us to develop this area, and we had already announced the Webflow course to come (in "coming soon").
However, months went by without any change in the status of the course. There were many reasons why we didn 't launch Webflow training sooner:
- Training takes an enormous amount of time.
- Digidop is first and foremost an agency, and growing the company by continuing to create educational content was a priority.
- Webflow, like most tools, evolves very regularly (between 2022 and 2024, the tool has changed enormously) and we didn't want to create a training course that would be obsolete after just a few months.
- Webflow is a complex tool to get to grips with, and we wanted a more interactive format than the Figma training.
Despite regular requests for the Webflow training course release date, as France's number one Webflow agency, we didn't want to offer something slapdash.
Today, we believe we've found a way to remedy all the points raised above, enabling us to honor this promise to the community.
How does the training work?
We'll be meeting live on the Digidop YouTube channel every Thursday from 6pm. In this weekly meeting, we'll be going into the details of Webflow (but not only) to learn how to develop a site from A to Z with almost no code.
The aim of the course will be to develop a site step by step in real time, and also to learn how tooptimize itfor SEO. Each week, we'll progress on a mock-up designed to explore different Webflow functionalities.
This live event will enable us to have an interactive session with you to answer your questions, gather your opinions and share your experience.
What is the content of the Webflow training course?
In this course, we'll be focusing on the essential aspects of website development. Here's an overview of the specific content we'll be covering in our weekly sessions:
- Project settings
- Customize your Style Guide
- Creating static pages and sections
- Create dynamic pages and sections (CMS mastery)
- Creating components
- Add animations
- Developing with the Client-First methodology
- Optimizing your project for SEO
- Creating a responsive site
Who should attend?
The course is aimed at beginners as well as intermediates and more advanced developers. In each live session, we'll cover the basics of Webflow, along with useful tips drawn from our own experience.
How much does training cost?
Training is 100% free.
As you may know, sharing is a key element of Digidop 's DNA. From the outset, we've strived to make the use of tools like Figma or Webflow accessible to as many people as possible, without language barriers, for the French-speaking community.
I myself learned Webflow with Florian's help, but also thanks to the many free online resources from Webflow University, Finsweet, T.Ricks and many other creators.
With this in mind, we decided that the training would be free and easily accessible to all!
Who am I?
My name is Thibaut(Thibz to my friends) and I'm a Webflow developer at Digidop (the first French agency to win a Webflow Professional Partner of the Year award).
My career in the web began in development, but mostly by referencing sites on Wordpress 😱
After joining Digidop to help the agency develop its content creation and SEO activities, Webflow caught my attention. Florian trained me on the tool, and I was also able toself-train to become an expert on the subject.
I passed the various Webflow certifications and then, with Florian, we worked with Finsweet to translate the Client-First documentation into French.
A few hundred blog posts later, in October 2023, we met up with the Digidop team and the Webflow Global Leaders at the Webflow Watch Party in Paris, which we co-organized.
To date, I've had the good fortune to work with over 50 clients to create or redesign their internal sites , and to give talks in schools, which is why I'm determined to share my Thibz Tips with you!
When does it start?
Live training begins with a first introductory episode (explaining the format, presentations, etc.) to answer your questions on Thursday, April 25, 2024 on the Digidop YouTube channel. After that, we'll meet up every other Thursday to get started and make progress on the program.
All lives will be available for replay directly after the end of each session.
