No more Figma mockups with dozens of comment bubbles 👉 Figma releases its Vimeo and Loom plugins to integrate video feedbacks directly on the canva.

Key points to remember

Thecollaborative design tool Figma has recently added two new plugins that will greatly simplify feedback on your designs.

To give feedback, Figma already offered the possibility to add comments on the model. On the FigJam side, you can even leave audio messages since recently.

Although Figma's comment feature is widely used, there are some limitations, especially when it comes to explaining explicitly what you think about a design, or because you often find yourself with dozens of comments to open, reply to, or validate. To push back these limits, Figma has released two new plugins, Vimeo and Loom, which allow you to directly leave your feedbacks on the model, in video format.

Vimeo plugin

The Vimeo integration with Figma allows you to capture video of your model, and or film yourself at the same time for feedback. The plugin works on both Figma and FigJam tools.

  1. Install the Vimeo plugin on Figma
  2. Access the plugin from a Figma project
  3. Connect your Vimeoaccount to Figma
  4. Create your video
  5. Add the video directly to the Canva or share the link
You can also add theChrome Vimeo extension, if you want to film beyond your Figma project.

Loom Plugin

The Figma Loom plugin allows you to embed your Loom videos directly into your Canva Figma.

  1. Install the Loom plugin on Figma
  2. Add theLoom chrome extension
  3. Open your Figma project and start a Loom video
  4. From Loom, create a public sharing link: "Anyone with the link can view".
  5. From Figma, open the plugin and integrate the link in the embed.
