Why is Adobe buying Figma?
The Adobe suite(Xd, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc...) is well known. Adobe is indeed the historical actor of the design sector. But for a few years, their solutions had difficulties to reinvent themselves and especially Adobe did not manage to make their solutions collaborative.
While... collaborativity in design process is for many to designate the present and especially the future of the industry. And Figma understood this by creating a highly collaborative platform.
For several years, Figma's growth has been exponential and the tool has become the new reference in terms of design software.
Adobe has therefore taken the decision to "eat" its competitor, before it overtakes it. 🦈
Adobe x Figma : what evolution(s) ?
Adobe being the leader of the sector, it should be able to accompany and accelerate the development of Figma. But most of all, it should be able to expand the possibilities of UI design in Figma.
We can imagine in a near future, the import of adobe files (after effect, premiere pro....) directly in our Figma files.
The words of our designer, Mérieux:
"It's crazy, it's going to be a killer! Now we also have to expect new pricing, and there they'll be waiting for us around the corner. "
What is the future of Webflow X Figma collaboration and complementarity?
