In 1 year, we went from 0 to more than 10 000 clicks (SEO) per month, on our Webflow website. Without netlinking, without Google Ads and with a brand new domain name!
How? 👇
With a simple recipe;
- About the technique
- Work
- Choosing the right tools
I tell you the story...
Context
February 2021 purchase of the domain name Digidop.fr (domain authority 0)
March 2021 the site is about 5 pages long
May 2021 launch of an SEO strategy (natural referencing on Google) on Digidop.fr
May 2022 over 3 million impressions and 10k clicks per month (domain authority 46)
1 - The technique
There are about thirty best practices to follow on your website to optimise it for SEO. We respect them all;
- Structure of Hn (H1, H2, H3, etc.)
- Optimised pageload speed
- Alt text tag on all images
- Structured data
- Sitemap
- Optimised title tag and meta description
- Etc...

2 - The work
It's no secret; in seo (as in life?) you get nothing for nothing. To achieve these results, we have set up a content production mechanism.
We have been posting almost daily on our blog for almost a year.
To keep up, here are some tips:
- Every time you learn something new; make it a "How to" article
- Want to share something with your team? No mail or call; make it an article. Then share it with them.
- Read what is done in the US (sometimes, even often, you just have to adapt it to the French reader)
These 3 reflexes will allow you to create a content production routine, without ever running out of inspiration!
3 - The right tools
"There are no bad tools, there are only ...."
In SEO this is in my opinion... FALSE! The right tools help you achieve your goals. Here is our stack 👇
1. Webflow
Webflow for our website 💜
2. Dokey
Dokey.io for SEO optimized blog posts 📝
3. 1.EN
1.FR to work on the so-called "on-page" keywords 🥇
4. Google search console
Google's free tool to track all your SEO positions on Google 👀
5. Semrush
Semrush to do technical audits of our website (and also position tracking)
6. Weglot
Weglot to make our site multilingual, optimizing SEO internationally 🌍
Bonus: adopt a Zorro Circles strategy
When challenges loom, our rational brain can be hijacked by emotions. The"Zorro Circles" principle teaches us to regain control by focusing first on small, achievable goals. Then, gradually widen our circle to reach bigger and bigger goals.
If I were to give you one piece of advice on "SEO strategy", it would be to focus on the Zorro Circles principle. With it, you will multiply the "small quick wins" that will bring you initial business results and keep you motivated.
The SEO results of the site Digidop.fr
After 1 year, we take stock;
- Domain name authority: 0 → 46
- Blog posts: 0 → 225
- Pages indexed on our site: 0 → + 700
- Monthly traffic: 0 → + 10 000
100% of our acquisition is based on inbound, no canvassing. And it works! So I can only encourage you to adopt an inbound acquisition strategy as soon as possible.
My advice, to keep motivated 🤓
The zorro circles!
In the beginning, focus onniche searches. Small queries with a low volume of searches, but with little competition. Seeing your site appear in 1st position on this type of"quick win" search will (1) keep your spirits up and (2) earn you business if your product/service meets this niche market!
