Web Agency

SEO is becoming more and more popular. With the rise of the web, we see more and more companies investing in SEO strategies. In this article, we explain from our point of view, why SEO is important for a website and how to implement an SEO strategy simply!

Key points to remember

"Pareto is back, here's how we broke down the strategy from Digidop"

On a 100% team time basis:

  • 20% Listening to our customers
  • 80% of the efforts of the whole team are on the creation of SEO content

Why?

1) The no-code market is not mature

2) Listening to our customers allows us to adapt our offer, and maybe even create our first product?

3) The Webflow market is not mature? (We are still asked the Webflow vs Wordpress question 😂. You ask yourself, why a car rather than a scooter to make a Paris-Marseille trip?)

But on the other hand... when it is... we will be, EVERYWHERE 🥇and with the best service that meets your future needs.

1. Our vision of natural referencing

For those of you who are not yet familiar with search engine optimization (also known as SEO or organic search engine optimization), it is the set of techniques used to position a website on search engines (Google, Bing, Ecosia, etc.) in order to generate traffic without creating paid campaigns. To put it more simply, it is optimising a website so that it is positioned on the 1st page of Google on specific queries and keywords. For example, I am a Webflow agency in France and I have a website, the goal of SEO is to make sure that when someone searches for "Agence Webflow France" on Google, the first result (not paid: not an ad) is my website.

Now that we have defined the basics of SEO, let's talk about what it means to our no-code web agency. SEO is a huge source of traffic acquisition. It is estimated that the number of searches per day on the Google search engine is 7 billion 🤯. Of all these queries, there is bound to be at least one that relates to your business. If your site is not positioned in the first 3 positions of Google, you lose 75% of the internet users and we are not even talking about not being on the first page ☠️.

In fact, SEO brings a lot ofopportunities:

  • It allows you to have a better visibility on the web in the long term
  • It allows you to generate traffic to your site "without paying".
  • It generates qualified traffic
  • It allows you to show your expertise

For us all these points are important. Indeed, through these opportunities we can also do something bigger: meet precisely the needs of our audience with videos, tutorials, blog posts, tips, services, offers, etc. Without SEO, we would not be visible on search engines and almost no one would see the content and services we offer. Thanks to SEO, we can help Internet users find exactly what they are looking for thanks to our expertise in several fields (Webflow, SEO, Automation, Nocode, UX, etc.).

To sum up, we really see SEO as a lever to educate the market by responding to and adapting to its needs.

2. Why focus on SEO and not SEA?

A big question arises here, why do natural referencing in this case and not paid referencing? Good question and we will answer you in several points!

First of all, to put things in their context, the SEA consists in realizing advertising campaigns by bidding on keywords in order to be 1st (in paid result: ad) on search engines. For each click on your site, or by impression, or by acquisition and so on, you will pay the amount of your bid. At Digidop, we do not do SEA because 80% of Internet users ignore the results of ads. Indeed, according to Google statistics, only 20% of Internet users are interested in paid results on its search engine. Why such a low percentage? Because compared to natural results, paid results do not inspire much confidence.

Secondly, ATS does not provide any long-term stability. It is a short or medium term model to gain visibility quickly. Without a lot of cash, this strategy is not sustainable over time. And, once an ad campaign is over, you lose all your paid positions.

Finally, paid referencing does not allow you to have an overview of the real value of your content. As the results are instantaneous (as long as you pay and usually expensive: thousands of euros per month), you can't know if the content you produce is good for the web. Good content will allow you to generate more leads through your website. SEO gives you an insight into the richness of your content.

3. How to set up an SEO strategy?

Now that you understand the importance of SEO, let's see how to implement a simple SEO strategy to rank well on search engines.

Firstly, it is necessary that each of your pages is optimised for a target query. The pages of your website must respond to one of your target's search intentions. Once you have determined this, you can build a semantic field around your keyword and build your page with as much content as possible to provide the most hits. You can use tools such as ubbersuggest to find keyword ideas and 1.co.uk to optimise your content.

In a second step, you can optimize your pages with :

  • A Title and Meta description containing keywords
  • A relevant H1 title tag
  • Respecting the hierarchy of title tags
  • Compressed media files, renamed and with text alt tags
  • Internal links to pages related to the base page (internal linking)
  • External links to authority sites

Then, you will be able to set up a blog strategy because content is ROI. The blog articles will allow you to position yourself on specific queries and expand your online visibility. In addition, you will be able to create an internal link with your landing pages to "boost" these pages. The aim is to create and write articles related to your expertise on different themes and link them to your landing pages. In addition, the blog will also allow you to create a community.

Finally, you will be able to develop your reputation by trying to get links from other sites that refer to yours (backlinks). It's a bit like the word-of-mouth principle, the more people talk about you, the more notoriety you have and the more influential these people are, the greater it will be. On the web it's the same, the more sites talk about you, the more your authority grows and the more important these sites are, the bigger it will be.

It is thanks to these 80% of efforts that we spend to create SEO optimized content that little by little we manage to become a reference in our fields of expertise. If you need help with your SEO strategy, don't hesitate to contact us.
