Discover the "tech" stack (software and tools) we use at Digidop to record video tutorials for our Youtube channel 🎬
This is a question Joe Krug asked me during our stream ! Here's the complete and detailed answer from the "technical" stack we use at Digidop to create our tutorial videos (from recording to editing).
1. The registration
The video recording software
Loom ❤️
No need for more, loom is a great tool that allows you to record your videos. With the pro version and the application installed on your computer, you can even record your videos in 4k.
Our tech' equipment to record a video
- Shure MV7 microphone
- Mackbook pro M1 or IMAC 27' (use of the integrated facetime camera)

2. Video editing
For the video editing (we are quite simple in our video editing for now) we use the Apple Imovie application. It's easy to use and does the job!
Imovie also offers you the possibility (if the recording was in 4K) to upload your video in very high quality, and in a format suitable for Youtube.
3. SEO optimization of the video for youtube
As a bonus, we obviously boost the SEO of our videos. Youtube is a real search engine 😉
For this, we use the ViqIQ tool + some Magic Digidop Tips ✨
Recap;
- Video recording : Loom
- Video editing: Imovie
- SEO Optimization: VidIQ
And all that's left to do is post on... Youtube 🍿
